Supreme Fatwa Council condemns Israeli approval to establish Jewish school in East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah
JERUSALEM, April 30, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Supreme Fatwa Council has condemned the approval by the Israeli occupation authorities of the establishment of a Jewish school on a large area of citizens’ land and homes in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. In a statement issued on Thursday, the Council reaffirmed its rejection of the systematic Israeli measures and violations aimed at Judaizing Jerusalem, altering its Palestinian identity, and imposing new illegal realities on the ground through the distortion of its historical and legal status, warning of serious repercussions for the region.
