Salal: A Message from Jerusalem, about Jerusalem
SALAL is a dynamic interpretive performance by Douban Professional Dance, blending dance, theater, and singing to showcase Jerusalem's cultural and social diversity. Through dances representing different cultures (Armenian, African, Moroccan, European, Turkish, Roma, Coptic, Kurdish), the performance tells the story of how various communities have shaped Jerusalem’s identity. The work highlights the theme of coexistence, unity, and overcoming evil through shared human values. Created in 2018, SALAL involved over 100 artists worldwide and features an original soundtrack by Akram Abdulfattah.
