Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem pay taxes to the Israeli authorities. Yet Palestinian neighborhoods in Jerusalem do not receive adequate services. Only 10% of Jerusalem’s city budget is directed toward Palestinian neighborhoods, which are home to 37% of the city’s population.
