The documentary “On the Doorstep”by Sahera Dirbas follows three generations of the Palestinian Bisharat family in the U.S. as they maintain a deep connection to their ancestral home, “Villa Harun Al-Rasheed” in West Jerusalem, seized in 1948. The film centers on 21-year-old Valerie’s journey to visit the house and her encounter with its current Israeli occupant, 96-year-old Gisele Arazi.
