Statement by the Spokesperson on Israeli demolitions and settlement policy in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem
The EU is appalled by Israel’s demolition of an EU and French funded school in al-Aqaba. Education is a fundamental right and the school was to serve hundreds of Palestinian students from several communities in Area C. The EU supports projects promoting economic development and improving the quality of life of Palestinian communities in Area C and expects its investments in support of the Palestinian people to be protected from damage and destruction by Israel in line with international law.
