About the Guide

Salim Hodali

With Salim Hodali is a Palestinian guide from the Bethlehem district. Salim works as a tour guide, licensed from the Palestinian authority in the holy land since 1995. Salim speaks four different languages (Arabic, English, Spanish and Italian). Graduated as a travel expert from the international institute for touristic science in Florence, Italy in 1986. Salim is one of the first three tour guides to pass the exam for the Palestinian Authority ministry of tourism to work as a licensed guide.

Tour Details

The tour departs from Jerusalem, where we will take the road to Ramallah via Qalandia Jaba and passing through Qalandiya checkpoint. In Ramallah, we will view the different Palestinian administrations and the Bank of Palestine. We will first visit Mahmoud Darwish Museum and surrounding gardens where we will have a nice view as well as learn about Palestine’s most prolific poet and writer. Other museum visits include the Yasser Arafat Museum, where his tomb, belongings, and office are present, and the Palestinian museum, which represents the history and aspirations of the Palestinian people. We will also travel back to the present and visit a local bookstore to explore the current Palestinian literary scene. Our immersion in Ramallah will conclude with lunch in a local Palestinian village and an optional tour of local beer breweries.
