A Palestinian woman from Ramallah, was excited to start her new job in Jerusalem but faced complications with Israel's permit system. Despite obtaining a permit to enter Jerusalem, M was banned after accidentally failing to properly log her exit at the checkpoint. This led to her being unable to reach her workplace for six months, causing both professional and personal stress. The permit system, which controls Palestinian mobility, has caused similar issues for many others, with malfunctions in tracking apps and strict enforcement that prevent Palestinians from accessing Jerusalem, further isolating them and threatening their livelihoods.
