East Jerusalem Hospitals

Before 1948, Jerusalem was an Arab Muslim city. That year, Israel seized 84% of it, renaming it West Jerusalem and making it its capital. Under Jordanian rule (1948–1967), Palestinians in East Jerusalem built key hospitals that became vital for the West Bank and Gaza. Despite occupation, these hospitals remain essential today.
