The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem
Between 7 October 2023 and 2 October 2026, according to the Ministry of Health, as reported by the Health Cluster, 74,228 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip and another 175,188 were injured. This includes 1,445 fatalities and 5,227 injuries between the announcement of a ceasefire agreement on 10 October 2025 and 2 October 2026. UNRWA has recorded 394 colleagues killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war (311 UNRWA personnel and 83 persons who were supporting UNRWA, as of 6 October.
