Syria, Lebanon and Jordan Humanitarian Appeal 2026 progress report
During the first half of 2026, Palestine Refugees across Syria, Lebanon and Jordan continued to confront a regional environment shaped by fragile early recovery, renewed conflict and persistent socioeconomic pressure. In Syria, the transition from emergency response towards recovery and reconstruction advanced against the legacy of 15 years of conflict and extensive damage to housing, infrastructure and basic services. In Lebanon, the escalation of hostilities in March triggered large-scale displacement and a sharp deterioration in humanitarian conditions. In Jordan, relative stability continued to contrast with wider regional volatility, while Palestine Refugees whose legal status is insecure or unrecognized, or who lack valid civil documentation, remained particularly vulnerable to economic hardship and barriers to employment and accessing essential services.
