DESCRIPTION:This course aims to introduce participants to the art of puppet making and puppetry\, one of the most prominent theatrical arts that combines artistic creativity with teamwork\, while fostering communication and social cohesion. Participants will acquire skills in designing and creating puppets using simple materials\, and learn techniques to animate them\, bringing to life characters and stories that reflect diverse societal values and experiences. \nThe course will also help develop manual and creative skills\, enhance self-expression\, improve focus and precision\, and encourage collaboration and teamwork. It starts every morning in front of the Church of the Ascension. \nThe olive trees’ yield belongs to Talitha Kumi\, the Protestant German school abroad in Talitha Kumi. Only a few of the students there have a Jerusalem ID and can help with the harvest; all the others don’t receive a permit to come to Jerusalem. Those who help with the harvest support the work of the school\, which bears the dove of peace in its logo. \nWater and a lunch snack will be provided.
