DESCRIPTION:Course Objectives \n• Learn photography fundamentals and techniques\, while developing skills in observing\, interpreting\, and documenting Jerusalem’s architectural and heritage details through photography. \n• Understand the concept of visual documentation and its importance in preserving heritage and collective memory. \n• Explore the history of “carpet tiles” in Jerusalem and Palestine and their role in local architectural identity. • Learn about the history of the Al-Ma’mal Foundation building as the site of Palestine’s first carpet tile factory. \n• Produce a photography project documenting examples of carpet tiles in Jerusalem from the participants’ perspectives. \n• Raise awareness regarding the importance of preserving cultural heritage through the visual arts.
