SUMMARY:“Echoes of the Land” exhibitions
DESCRIPTION:Invitation to the Opening of “Echoes of the Land” exhibitions\nAl Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art cordially invites you to the opening of “Echoes of the Land”\, a group exhibition showcasing works by Palestinian artists that delve into themes of memory\, identity\, longing\, and pain.\n\nThis exhibition offers a profound visual meditation on our relationship with the land—imbued with enduring emotion and a longing that persists despite efforts at erasure.\n\nWithin this artistic space\, collective and individual memories converge to form a cohesive narrative where echoes of the past intertwine with the pulse of the present. Buildings take on the presence of souls adrift in a realm of storytelling—suspended between reality and imagination\, permanence and displacement. Through vivid lines and colors\, the land speaks of struggle and resilience: of mothers who endure\, gazelles leaping toward freedom\, and seas that carry the names of fishermen like echoes that never fade.\n\nErased maps reclaim their contours\, and stories are re-embroidered\, reminding us that land is not merely a geographical space but a living\, breathing entity—an archive of identity and history.\nEchoes of the Land is not simply an art exhibition; it is a space for reflection—on the memories we hold\, the present we inhabit\, and the futures we envision.\n\n\n\nParticipating Artists (alphabetically):\nAsalah Hassan\, Afyaa Al-Nawasrah\, Alaziz Atef\, Tahani Skaik\, Duaa Abu Saada \, Rawan Joulani\, Sami Zarour\, Salem Awad\, Sohail Salem\, Suleiman Mansour\, Shatha Safi\, Shareef Sarhan\, Shahd Itbakhi\, Shiraz Khattab\, Shimaa Takrori\, Sabreen Haj Ahmad\, Abdal Qader Basalat\, Abdallah Kanaan\, Alaa Al Baba\, Karma Barghothi\, Christina Qahoush\, Kamel Abu Kamel\, Lujain Hassan\, Madeleine Kelleyan\, Masa Omar\, Mohammad Al-Haj\, Mahmoud Olwan\, Maha Zeibak\, Nadine Gorez Eldeen\, Nabil Anani\, Nour Jabarin\, Hala Abu Nahleh\, Haya Qawar\, Wadei Khaled\n\n\n\nOpening Details\n\nDate: 29 May 2025\nTime: 6:00 PM\nVenue: Al Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art\, New Gate\, Old City\, Jerusalem\nWe would be delighted by your presence.\nThe event is open to the public.
